Counselling & Psychotherapy

As a therapist. I predominantly work from a Person-Centred Approach, which means our sessions will be led by you, in a space grounded in compassion, empathy and kindness.  Together, we walk side by side to explore any issues, patterns, or resistance you may be experiencing—at your pace and in your own way.

I also draw on Transpersonal and Humanistic perspectives, which allow us to consider the whole person: mind, body, spirit, values, beliefs, needs, desires, and experiences.

I offer a gentle, grounded presence and a calm, safe space to talk about whatever is going on for you. Above all, I provide a non-judgmental environment where you are invited to bring your whole self—just as you are.

I am able to offer mindfulness practices, offering different exercises to try in and outside of the session. Again, this is guided by you and if you are open to practicing meditation or breathwork then this can be incorporated into the session, however there is no obligation to try this or any other exercise I offer.

Through my own personal experience, I’ve seen how counselling can be a powerful and transformative tool—not only in difficult times but also as a path toward personal growth and self-discovery.

What to expect.

I offer open-ended sessions which generally require a weekly commitment. Sessions are available both online and in person. My physical space is a cosy and welcoming room situated within Downton Leisure Centre, with ample parking and ground-floor access. Online sessions are held via Google Meet.

Walk & talk sessions are also available.

Sessions last for 60 minutes.

Our initial meeting is an opportunity to get to know one another, with no obligation to continue after the first session. We will explore your background, the presenting issue, and what you are hoping to gain from therapy. We will also talk in more detail about what to expect and create a working agreement together. As therapy unfolds, it is not uncommon for the original focus to evolve as we explore different aspects of your experience together.

Therapy can sometimes feel demanding and may bring up a range of emotions, including moments of frustration, discomfort, or uncertainty, alongside insight and relief.
